1, The impossible, we did it as a team.
Ten months ago, I don’t know that I would have said this was possible. The first major project we took on as a team was project Horizon – we all gathered in a room full of very seasoned and professional individuals from HR, who outlined the project, what had to be delivered and by when. We had no data team; we had no tools to create APIs, and we had no cloud infrastructure or anyone on the team capable of designing or implementing the solution. Personally, I love a good challenge, so I rolled my sleeves up and created a detailed design and architecture, chose a solution platform and presented it to the vendor Mulesoft in a room full of all the product owners. I broke down all the delivery phases and milestones for them – then presented it back to the HR team. It did meet with some pushback, but I had no plan B, so I stuck to my direction and guided the internal team to see that this was the way forward and how we would take this project on. Each member of the team got comfortable with the plan and turned it into action; the HR team gave my team some feedback at the end of the successful project that it was the smoothest project that they had ever completed with a new team. I was so proud of the team which took the ball and delivered a very complex and critical project for my teammates.
Project outline - HRIS Integration
Our team performed data scrubs and transformation of ADP people data from ADP Lifion for integration with ORACLE Human Capital Management (HCM) in time for benefits enrollment in September 2022. We provided a method to synchronize people data-related changes from ADP Lifion to Oracle HCM during the transition period from September to December 2022. At that point, Oracle HCM would become the record system for All People data. This process was termed the delta load. We also established the integration of Payroll Journal Entries from ADP GL into NetSuite, as starting in January 2023, payroll for all teammates will be run from ADP GL. We are celebrating the following accomplishments:
1) We successfully delivered the transformed people data as per the schedule, and the benefits team was able to use the data to support benefits enrollment using our API design.
2) The Delta Load was implemented within weeks of the initial full load and has been running successfully on a weekly basis in production using the API we created for this project. The Delta Load will be decommissioned in Mid-December once the Oracle HCM becomes the system of record for people data
3) The NetSuite integration is in progress and the initial testing has started. The scheduled release date of the NetSuite integration is mid-January 2023.

All of our teammates were able to pick benefits for 2023 and will move to one payroll system on 16th of December. We are now able to sunset ADT Lifion and remove duplication in work to enable stronger compliances.
